I knew when I would go to Paris that I wanted to document our adventures without having to share anything online right away. I feared missing out on what could be incredible moments, if I spent that time posting to Facebook. I wrote a bit more on my magical experience there in Part One. Those images were all shot using my iPhone.

This set was all shot on my Beseler Topcon SuperD; a combat camera used from the 1960’s to 1980’s by the US Airforce and Navy. Alin and I were walking around Le Marais, a gorgeous, historic district in Paris, and an adorable older gentleman walked up to me and asked me if he could hold my camera. He proceeded to tell me how it’s been such a long time since he’s seen one one these and seemed surprised that it was in such good condition. He talked about how he used it during his photojournalism days in the 70’s and more interesting stories followed. I loved this moment.

I used to be the type of person that planned and typed out itineraries for trips. In the recent years, especially on this trip, I’ve learned to not plan out every minute. When you do that, you allow little to no room for the unexpected. The unexpected could lead you into beautiful, less-traveled places & conversations with strangers that could impact your life in the most brilliant way.

These film images represent the feeling I felt and still feel about Paris. Someday, I’d like to live there. A girl can dream, right?
